   Let the original price of an item be
   x
   Let the number of items be y
   (x+5)(y-2)=200…(i)
   xy=200..(ii)
   y=200/x..(iii)
   From (i)
   xy-2x+5y-10=200..(iv)
   Substitute (iii) in (iv)
   x(200/x)-2x+1000/x-210=0
   200-210-2x+1000/x=0
   -10-2x+1000/x=0
   -10x-2x²+1000=0
   x²+5x-500=0
   x²+25x-20x-500=0
   x(x+25)-20(x+25)=0
   (x-20)(x+25)=0
   But x≠-25 since x>0
   Therefore
   x=sh 20
   y=200/20=10 items
