Equation maths Num xxx

A bucket full of water is 40cm in diameter in the open-end 24cm in diameter at the bottom end and 32cm deep. The bucket is then emptied completely into a cylindrical drum of 56cm in diameter.
Find the level of water in the drum to the nearest whole number (take π=22/7)

  1. Bucket full of water is in the shape of frustum.
    Voume=22/7H(R^2+Rr+r^2)
    =(22/7×32)(40^2+40×24+24^2)
    =(22/7×32)1600+960+576)
    =(22/7×32)(3136)
    22/7×32×3136 cubic cm
    Therefore,
    Volume of drum=22/7×32× 3136 cubic cm
    That is, 22/7×56×56×h=22/7×32×3136

    h=(32×3136)/(56×56)
    =10.67 cm
